Severe Thunderstorm Warning - Southeast Queensland
for Ipswich, Gympie, Logan, Somerset, Scenic Rim, Southern Downs, Lockyer Valley, Sunshine Coast and Noosa Council Areas.

Slow moving thunderstorms have temporarily eased over parts of the southeast.
Warning for the following areas:

Severe thunderstorms in the warning area have temporarily eased. However, the redevelopment of severe thunderstorms remains possible. The situation is being closely monitored and further detailed warnings will be issued as necessary.
Cancellation for the following areas:
Sunshine Coast,Southern Downs,Scenic Rim,Gympie ,Somerset,Lockyer Valley,Ipswich,Logan,Noosa
Emergency services advise people to:
* Never drive, walk, play or ride through floodwater. It is dangerous.
* Stay away from storm water drains.
* Stay away from fallen powerlines.
* Drive slowly and never drive through floodwaters. If the road is flooded or damaged, go another way.
* For storm help, call the SES on 132 500 or download the free SES Assistance QLD app.
A more general severe thunderstorm warning is also current for parts of the North Tropical Coast and Tablelands, Herbert and Lower Burdekin, Wide Bay and Burnett and Southeast Coast districts.
Other warnings may be current.

Today: Partly cloudy. Medium chance of showers, most likely in the early morning. The chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening, possibly severe with large hail and heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding about the S border ranges. Light winds becoming E 15 to 20 km/h in the late afternoon then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 18 and 21 with daytime temperatures reaching around 30.
