MINOR FLOODING CONTINUING AT THARGOMINDAH
Floodwater from recent rainfall continues to move along the lower Bulloo River. The main flood peak passed Thargomindah on Saturday morning, where moderate flooding has eased and minor flooding is continuing.
Further showers and storms are possible over the next few days, which may result in further river level rises along the Bulloo River.
Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie:
Minor flooding is occurring at Thargomindah.
The Bulloo River at Thargomindah is currently at 4.34 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Bulloo River at Thargomindah may remain above the minor flood level (4.00 m) for the remainder of Monday. The river may fall below the minor flood level (4.00 m) during Tuesday.
Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
