MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT THARGOMINDAH FROM THURSDAY
FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT QUILPIE
A second near minor peak occurred at Quilpie during Sunday after heavy rainfall last Thursday night. These peaks are currently flowing downstream and may lead to minor flooding at Thargomindah from Thursday.
Bulloo River to Quilpie:
Minor flooding is no longer expected along the Bulloo River to Quilpie.
The Bulloo River at Quilpie is currently at 1.99 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Bulloo River at Quilpie is expected to remain below the minor flood level (3.00 m).
Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie:
Minor flooding is possible along the Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie.
No observations are currently available for the Bulloo River at Thargomindah. Based on upstream gauges, it is expected that the river level is below the minor flood level and steady.
The Bulloo River at Thargomindah may reach around the minor flood level (4.00 m) from Thursday as flows arrive from upstream.
