MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT TAROOM OVERNIGHT SUNDAY INTO MONDAY
Recent moderate to heavy rainfall across the Upper Dawson River catchment has caused rises in river and creek levels. Minor flooding is likely along the Dawson River at Taroom overnight Sunday into Monday.
Further showers and thunderstorms are possible during the next few days. The situation is being closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for the adjoining catchments.

Dawson River to Theodore:
Minor flooding is likely along the Dawson River to Theodore.
The Dawson River at Taroom is currently at 3.64 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Dawson River at Taroom is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.50 m) overnight Sunday into Monday. The river may peak near 5.00 m early Monday morning, with minor flooding.

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.

Moderate Flood Warning For The Barcoo River And Minor Flood Warning For The Thomson River And Cooper Creek

MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT RETREAT MONDAY AFTERNOON
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT CAMOOLA PARK, WINDORAH AND BLACKALL
Renewed minor flooding is occurring along the Barcoo River at Retreat as a flood peak in the lower Barcoo River arrives. Further downstream, renewed minor flooding is likely along the Cooper Creek at Windorah from Sunday evening as upstream flows arrive.
In the upper Barcoo River, moderate to heavy rainfall over the weekend has caused river level rises upstream of Isisford. Minor flooding is possible along the Barcoo River at Blackall from Sunday evening.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast to continue in the catchment over the next few days, with isolated moderate to heavy rainfall, which may cause further river level rises.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of South East Queensland, Wide Bay and Burnett and Central inland catchments.

Thomson River:
Minor flooding is possible along the Thomson River
No observations are currently available for the Thomson River at Camoola Park.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park may exceed the minor flood level (2.00 m) Monday evening.

Barcoo River to Isisford:
Minor flooding is possible along the Barcoo River upstream of Isisford.
No observations are currently available for the Barcoo River at Blackall. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river is expected to be below the minor flood level and rising.
The Barcoo River at Blackall may exceed the minor flood level (2.00 m) Sunday afternoon. The river may peak near 2.00 m Sunday evening, with minor flooding.

Barcoo River downstream of Isisford:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Barcoo River at Glenlock, with moderate flooding possible at Retreat.
The Barcoo River at Retreat is currently at 3.20 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Barcoo River at Retreat may reach around 4.50 m Monday afternoon, with moderate flooding. Further rises are possible.

Cooper Creek:
Renewed minor flooding is likely along the Cooper Creek at Windorah.
No observations are currently available for the Cooper Creek at Windorah. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river is estimated to be below the minor level and rising.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah is likely to reach around 3.00 m during Sunday evening, with minor flooding. Further river are likely as upstream flows arrive. Peak forecasts will be provided as upstream peaks are observed.

MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT QUILPIE FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON
Recent localised heavy rainfall over parts of the upper Bulloo catchment has caused river level rises, with a peak around the minor flood level observed Saturday evening at Milroy. Downstream, river level rises are occurring at Quilpie, where the river level is likely to reach the minor flood level from Sunday afternoon.

Bulloo River to Quilpie:
Minor flooding is likely along the Bulloo River to Quilpie.
The Bulloo River at Quilpie is currently at 2.59 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Bulloo River at Quilpie is likely to reach the minor flood level (3.00 m) from Sunday afternoon. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.
