Initial Minor Flood Warning For The Pioneer River

MINOR FLOODING IS ESTIMATED TO BE OCCURRING AT MIRANI
Heavy rainfall observed over the Pioneer River catchment overnight Tuesday into Wednesday has caused rapid river level rises across the catchment. At Mirani it is estimated that minor flooding is occurring. River levels are elevated and flooding is also occurring along Cattle Creek.

Pioneer River:
Minor flooding is estimated to be occurring at Mirani and occurring at Finch Hatton Showground, Senninis Road and likely at Gargett.

No observations are currently available for the Pioneer River at Mirani. Based on the nearby gauge at Mirani Weir it is estimated that the river level at Mirani is around the minor flood level.
The Pioneer River at Mirani may remain around the minor flood level (6.00 m) early Wednesday morning. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
