MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT AUGATHELLA ON WEDNESDAY
Heavy rainfall has been recorded over the upper Warrego River catchment over the weekend. River levels upstream of Augathella have risen rapidly in response to this rainfall.
Minor flooding is possible at Augathella from Monday afternoon as flood water approaches from upstream, with major flooding possible on Wednesday.

Warrego River to Charleville:
Major flooding is occurring along the Warrego River at Lochinvar, possible at Augathella.
The Warrego River at Augathella is currently at 2.33 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Warrego River at Augathella is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) from Monday afternoon. The river is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (5.00 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday. The river may exceed the major flood level (6.00 m) during Wednesday 11 March.

MINOR FLOODING CONTINUING AT WILLARA CROSSING AND POSSIBLE AT WANAARING ON THURSDAY
Multiple minor flood peaks are moving through the Paroo River.
At Willara Crossing a minor flood peak was observed early Saturday morning. This flood peak is now moving downstream and will reach Wanaaring around Thursday.
Another flood peak currently upstream of Hungerford is likely to arrive at Willara towards the end of the week.
A Minor Flood Warning is current for the Paroo River in Queensland.

Paroo River (NSW):
Minor flooding is occurring along the Paroo River downstream of Hungerford.

The Paroo River at Willara Crossing peaked at 1.51 m around 09:30 am Saturday 7 March, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 1.21 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Paroo River at Willara Crossing is likely to remain above the minor flood level for the next few days. Further rises are likely as upstream flows arrive towards the end of the week.

The Paroo River at Wanaaring is currently at 2.30 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
Renewed river level rises are forecast midweek along the Paroo River at Wanaaring. River levels may peak near the minor flood level (2.40 m) during Thursday 12 March.

MINOR FLOOD PEAK EXPECTED AT HUNGERFORD TUESDAY MORNING
Renewed river level rises above the minor flood level are occurring along the the Paroo River at Hungerford. A minor flood peak is likely Tuesday morning. This peak is likely to be lower than minor flood peaks observed at Hungerford during February. Upstream, a minor flood peak was observed at Caiwarro early Sunday morning.
A Minor Flood Warning is also current for the Paroo River in NSW.

Paroo River downstream of Eulo:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Paroo River downstream of Eulo.
The Paroo River at Hungerford is currently at 1.12 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Paroo River at Hungerford is likely to peak near 1.20 m Tuesday morning, with minor flooding. The river is likely to remain above the minor flood level (1.00 m) through to the end of the week.

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT SURAT FROM TUESDAY
Recent rainfall has caused river level rises across the upper Balonne River catchment. Moderate flooding is possible along Bungil Creek at Roma from Monday evening, with minor to moderate flooding possible along the Balonne River at Warkon and Surat from early this week.
Significant river level rises are also occurring along Dogwood Creek.
Further rainfall is forecast during Monday but is expected to ease later in the day. The situation is being monitored closely, and this warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for much of Queensland.

Dogwood Creek:
Significant river level rises are occurring along Dogwood Creek, with minor to moderate flooding rising at Miles, Gilweir and Pine Hill Crossing.
Balonne River to Surat:
Minor to moderate flooding is possible along the Balonne River.
No observations are currently available for the Balonne River at Warkon. The river level is estimated to be below the minor flood level and rising.
The Balonne River at Warkon may exceed the minor flood level (7.00 m) from overnight Monday into Tuesday. The river may reach around the moderate flood level (8.00 m) from Tuesday. Further rises are likely as upstream flows arrive.

No observations are currently available for the Balonne River at Surat. Based on the river level at the nearby automatic station, the river level is estimated to be below the minor flood level and steady.
The Balonne River at Surat may exceed the minor flood level (5.00 m) during Tuesday. Further rises are expected this week as upstream flows arrive.

Bungil Creek:
Moderate flooding is possible along Bungil Creek.
The Bungil Creek at Roma is currently at 4.92 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Bungil Creek at Roma is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.95 m) late Monday morning. The creek may peak near the moderate flood level (5.45 m) from Monday evening.

MODERATE FLOODING LIKELY AT YATTON FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT TAROOM, THEODORE WEIR AND BARALABA FROM MONDAY MORNING
Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed across parts of the Dawson, Connors and Isaac Rivers, with further heavy rainfall forecast for the remainder of Monday. Rainfall has been particularly heavy across the Funnel Creek catchment and rapid river level rises have been observed.
Along the Dawson River minor flooding is possible at Taroom, Theodore Weir and Baralaba from Monday morning. Along the Isaac River minor flooding is expected at Yatton from Monday morning with moderate flooding likely from Monday afternoon.
Further rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Monday. Higher and earlier river level rises are possible, depending on the timing and intensity of rainfall.
A Flood Watch is current for most of Queensland. A Severe Weather Warning for heavy rainfall is current for large parts of southeast Queensland, including parts of the Dawson River catchment.

Dawson River to Theodore:
Minor flooding is possible at Taroom and Theodore with further rises possible with forecast rain.
The Dawson River at Taroom is currently at 1.50 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Dawson River at Taroom may reach around the minor flood level (4.50 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday, with forecast rainfall. Further rises are possible.

The Dawson River at Theodore Weir is currently at 6.13 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Dawson River at Theodore Weir may reach around the minor flood level (8.00 m) Monday evening. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.

Dawson River downstream of Theodore:
Minor flooding is possible at Baralaba with further rises possible with forecast rain.
No river level observation is currently available at Baralaba. However, based on the nearby gauge the river level at Baralaba is expected to be below the minor flood level and rising.
The Dawson River at Baralaba may reach around the minor flood level (4.00 m) Monday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.

Connors and Isaac Rivers:

NEAR MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WINDORAH AND JUNDAH
MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT STONEHENGE AND POSSIBLE AT CAMOOLA PARK
A major flood peak along the Thomson River is passing through Jundah. Upstream at Camoola Park, Longreach and Stonehenge river levels are falling slowly. Along the Barcoo River, flooding is easing with the main peak now downstream of Retreat.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast for upper parts of the Thomson and Barcoo Rivers during Sunday and into Monday. Renewed moderate flooding possible at Camoola Park and minor flooding possible at Blackall, Jericho and Barcaldine.
Along the Cooper Creek, renewed near major flooding is occurring at Windorah (Main Channel). Further rises are likely as upstream flows arrive from the Thomson and Barcoo Rivers, with a flood peak forecast to reach Windorah early next week.
Peak forecasts will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.
The situation is being monitored and this warning will be updated as required.

Thomson River:
Minor to major flooding is occurring along the Thomson River.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park is currently at 3.30 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park may reach around the moderate flood level (4.00 m) Tuesday afternoon. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.

The Thomson River at Longreach is currently at 4.18 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Longreach is expected to remain above the minor flood level (3.30 m) early this week. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

No observations are currently available for the Thomson River at Stonehenge. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level is estimated to be above the moderate flood level (3.00 m) and steady around a peak.
