Final Flood Warning For The Daintree And Mossman Rivers

FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT DAINTREE VILLAGE
Heavy rainfall earlier this week caused river level rises along the Daintree and Mossman Rivers during Tuesday and Wednesday. River levels are now easing.
Further showers are forecast during Thursday and Friday but significant rainfall totals are not expected.

Daintree River:
Flooding is no longer expected at Daintree Village.
A peak below the minor flood level was recorded along the Daintree River at Daintree Village on Wednesday morning. The river level is currently at 1.65 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Daintree River at Daintree Village is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m).

Mossman River:
River levels are easing along the Mossman River.

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.

Final Flood Warning For The Tully River

FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT EURAMO
Heavy rainfall earlier this week caused a peak just below the minor flood level along the Tully River at Euramo late Wednesday evening.
Further showers are forecast during Thursday and Friday but significant rainfall totals are not expected. The river level at Euramo is expected to continue easing over the next few days.

Tully River:
Elevated river levels are easing along the Tully River.
The Tully River at Euramo peaked at 5.85 m around 11:00 pm Wednesday, just below the minor flood level. The river is currently at 5.30 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Tully River at Euramo is expected to remain below the minor flood level (6.00 m).

Minor Flood Warning For The Mulgrave River And Flood Warning For The Russell River

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT PEETS BRIDGE AND GORDONVALE
Heavy rainfall Tuesday and Wednesday across the Russell and Mulgrave River catchments has resulted in river level rises and flooding.
Minor flooding is occurring along the Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge and at Gordonvale.
River levels are elevated along the Russell River with near major flood level occurring at Bucklands and near moderate flooding occurring at Clyde Rd.
Further rainfall is possible overnight Wednesday and the situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as required.

Mulgrave River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Mulgrave River.
The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge peaked at 5.84 metres around 4 pm Wednesday 17 September and is currently at 5.75 metres and falling with minor flooding.
The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge may remain above the minor flood level (5.00 m AHD) overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale is currently at 12.40 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale may peak near 12.60 m Wednesday evening, with minor flooding.

Russell River:
River levels are elevated. Near major flooding is occurring along the Russell River at Bucklands and near moderate at Clyde Rd.
