NEAR MODERATE PEAK POSSIBLE AT BIRDSVILLE FROM THURSDAY
A moderate flood peak passed through Monkira last week and is now around Durrie Station, with rises beginning downstream at Roseberth Station. As these flows move downstream, further river level rises are likely at Birdsville over the next few days with a near moderate peak possible from Thursday. Peak forecasts will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
The Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes is currently at 4.31 m and slowly rising, above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) and well above the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway level (2.10 m).
Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
Moderate flooding is occurring at Roseberth Station and minor flooding is occurring at Monkira. River levels at Durrie Station and Birdsville are rising with minor flooding.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station is currently at 5.45 m and slowly rising, with minor flooding (4.00 m).
The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station may peak near the moderate flood level (6.00 m) from Thursday. Peak forecasts will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.

MAJOR FLOODING CONTINUING AT WALKERS BEND
Major flooding is continuing along the lower Flinders River at Walkers Bend. The latest flood peak continues to move along the lower Flinders River, and renewed rises are likely at Walkers Bend over the next few days.
No significant rainfall totals are forecast over the next few days.

Flinders River downstream of Richmond:
Major flooding is continuing along the Flinders River downstream of Richmond.
The Flinders River at Walkers Bend is currently at 8.17 m and steady, with major flooding.
The Flinders River at Walkers Bend is likely to remain above the major flood level (8.00 m) during Monday and into Tuesday. A major flood peak is likely to occur from mid this week.

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

Major Flood Warning For The Thomson River And Cooper Creek And Moderate Flood Warning For The Barcoo River

MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT JUNDAH AND LIKELY AT WINDORAH FROM MONDAY
MODERATE FLOODING EASING AT LONGREACH AND STONEHENGE, LIKELY AT RETREAT FROM TUESDAY
Along the Thomson River, moderate flooding continues at Longreach. The main flood peak has passed through Stonehenge, where a moderate flood peak was observed during Saturday. Major flooding is occurring at Jundah with a major flood peak expected overnight Sunday.
Along the Barcoo River, minor flooding is easing at Isisford. The main flood peak is currently approaching Glenlock. These flood waters may cause moderate flooding at Retreat from Tuesday morning.
Along the Cooper Creek at Windorah, the creek level remains elevated above the moderate flood level, with renewed rises above the major flood level likely from Monday as flood peaks arrive from both the Thomson and Barcoo Rivers.
Forecast heights and timings will be refined as upstream peaks are observed. The situation is being monitored and this warning will be updated as required.

Thomson River:
Major flooding is occurring along the Thomson River at Bogewong and Jundah.
No recent observations are available for the Thomson River at Camoola Park. The river is estimated to be above the minor flood level (2.00 m) and falling.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park may fall below the minor flood level (2.00 m) during Monday.

The Thomson River at Longreach is currently at 4.54 m and falling slowly, with moderate flooding.
The Thomson River at Longreach may fall below the moderate flood level (4.30 m) during Monday.

No river level observations are currently available for the Thomson River at Stonehenge, based on the nearby automatic gauge the river level is expected to be above the moderate flood level and falling.
The Thomson River at Stonehenge may remain above the moderate flood level (3.00 m) for the remainder of Sunday and during Monday.

The Thomson River at Jundah is currently at 6.18 m and rising, with major flooding.
The Thomson River at Jundah is likely to peak near 6.50 m overnight Sunday into Monday, with major flooding.

Barcoo River to Isisford:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Barcoo River at Isisford
The Barcoo River at Isisford Post Office is currently at 4.05 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Barcoo River at Isisford Post Office is likely to fall below the minor flood level (4.00 m) Sunday afternoon.

Barcoo River downstream of Isisford:
Moderate flooding is likely along the Barcoo River at Retreat
The Barcoo River at Retreat is currently at 2.58 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Barcoo River at Retreat is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (4.50 m) around Tuesday morning. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive. Forecasts will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.

Cooper Creek:
Major flooding is likely along the Cooper Creek at Windorah
The Cooper Creek at Windorah is currently at 4.62 m and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah is likely to exceed the major flood level (5.00 m) during Monday. The creek may reach around 6.50 m Wednesday, with major flooding. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive. Peak forecasts will be refined once upstream peaks are observed.
