Moderate Flood Warning For The Don River And Flood Warning For The Proserpine River Catchment

RENEWED MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BOWEN PUMP STATION SUNDAY EVENING
Moderate to heavy rainfall in the early hours of Sunday has caused renewed river level rises along the Don River. A moderate flood peak, similar in height to the peak recorded on Saturday, is expected to occur on Sunday evening.
Further rainfall is forecast across the catchment for the remainder of Sunday into Monday. This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for most of Queensland.
Don River:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Don River.
The Don River at Bowen Pump Station is currently at 3.05 m and rising, with minor flooding.
River levels are rising upstream and as a result the Don River at Bowen Pump Station may peak near 4.70 m Sunday evening, with moderate flooding (moderate flood level is 4.00 metres). This is similar to the peak recorded on Saturday.
Proserpine River:
River level rises are occurring in the Proserpine River catchment.

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT DALBEG, CLARE AND INKERMAN BRIDGE (BURDEKIN BRIDGE) DURING SUNDAY
Heavy rainfall has been recorded across parts of the Lower Burdekin and the Bowen River catchments during Friday and Saturday, with further rainfall forecast for the remainder of the weekend and into next week. River level rises have been observed along the Bowen River and in the Lower Burdekin at Dalbeg, Clare and Inkerman Bridge (Burdekin Bridge), where minor flooding may develop during Sunday.
A Flood Watch is current for most of Queensland.
Burdekin River downstream of Burdekin Falls Dam:
Minor flooding may develop along the lower Burdekin river during Sunday. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
The Burdekin River at Dalbeg is currently at 6.48 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Burdekin River at Dalbeg may reach around the minor flood level (10.00 m) Sunday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
The Burdekin River at Clare is currently at 8.10 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Burdekin River at Clare may reach around the minor flood level (9.00 m) Sunday afternoon. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
The Burdekin River at Inkerman Bridge (Burdekin Bridge) is currently at 5.95 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Burdekin River at Inkerman Bridge (Burdekin Bridge) may reach around the minor flood level (7.00 m) Sunday evening. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT YATTON OVERNIGHT SUNDAY INTO MONDAY
Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed across parts of the Connors and Isaac Rivers. Rainfall has been particularly heavy across the Funnel Creek catchment, where river levels are rising rapidly. Minor flooding may develop along the Isaac River at Yatton overnight Sunday into Monday.
Further rainfall is forecast for the remainder of the weekend and into next week. Higher and earlier river level rises are possible, depending on the timing and intensity of rainfall.
A Flood Watch is current for most of Queensland
Connors and Isaac Rivers:
Minor flooding is possible at Yatton with further rises possible with forecast rain.
The Isaac River at Yatton is currently at 4.18 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Isaac River at Yatton may exceed the minor flood level (7.50 m) overnight Sunday into Monday. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.

ELEVATED RIVER LEVELS AND LOCALISED FLOODING OCCURRING ACROSS THE PIONEER RIVER CATCHMENT
Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed across the catchment overnight Friday into Saturday, which has resulted in river and creek level rises in the upper part of the Pioneer River catchment and its tributaries.
Further moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast for the next few days, which may result in further rises. This situation is being monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for most of Queensland.
Pioneer River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Cattle Creek at Finch Hatton and Gargett, and along the Pioneer River at Sarich's and Mirani Township.
No observations are available for Mirani manual gauge along the Pioneer River. Based on the nearby automatic gauge it is estimated that the river level peaked around the minor flood level (6.00 m) Saturday morning. The Pioneer River at Mirani is estimated to be below the minor flood level (6.00 m) and falling.
Elevated river levels and renewed rises are possible for the remainder of Saturday and into Sunday with further rainfall.
