for North Tropical Coast and Tablelands and Herbert and Lower Burdekin Forecast Districts.

Heavy rainfall has eased over the northeast coast this evening.
Weather Situation
A trough combined with a very humid airmass continues to generate moderate shower activity over parts of the North Tropical Coast and Herbert and Lower Burdekin this evening. Heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding is no longer expected in the near term, but will continue to be monitored overnight.

This warning is now cancelled.
91 MM WAS RECORDED AT WALLAMAN ALERT IN THE 1 HOUR TO 8:40 PM.
145 mm was recorded at Cardwell Gap in the 3 hours to 11:24 pm.
74 mm was recorded at Nash's Crossing Alert in the 1 hour to 9:20 pm.
Separate Flood Watches and/or Warnings are current at the time of issue.
Emergency services advise people to:
* Never drive, walk, play or ride through floodwater. It is dangerous.
* Stay away from storm water drains.
* Stay away from fallen powerlines.
* Drive slowly and never drive through floodwaters. If the road is flooded or damaged, go another way.

No further warnings will be issued for this event.
