MINOR FLOODING HAS EASED AT TAROOM
MINOR FLOODING MAY CONTINUE AT BARALABA FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS
Moderate to heavy rainfall over the last few days across the Dawson River catchment has caused rises in river and creek levels. Along the Upper Dawson River, the flood peak has moved downstream of the Glebe Weir, and minor flooding has eased at Taroom. Further downstream at Baralaba, minor flooding is expected to be occurring.
No significant rainfall has been recorded across the catchment in the past 24 hours.

Dawson River to Theodore:
Minor flooding has eased along the Dawson River to Theodore.
The Dawson River at Taroom is currently at 3.60 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Dawson River at Taroom is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.50 m).

Dawson River downstream of Theodore:
Minor flooding is expected to be occurring along the Dawson River downstream of Theodore.
No current observations are available for the Dawson River at Baralaba. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level is estimated to be above the minor flood level (4.00 m) and falling.
The Dawson River at Baralaba may remain above the minor flood level (4.00 m) for the next few days. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

LOCALISED FLOODING HAS EASED ACROSS THE PIONEER RIVER CATCHMENT
Further moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast for the next few days. Renewed river level rises are possible, and warnings will be issued if required.

Pioneer River:
Minor flooding has eased along Cattle Creek at Finch Hatton and Gargett, and along the Pioneer River at Mirani Township.

RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BOWEN PUMP STATION
Minor flooding has eased along the Don River at Bowen Pump Station after heavy rainfall earlier in the week. Renewed minor flooding is possible from Friday morning with forecast rainfall.

Don River:
Renewed minor flooding is possible along the Don River.
The Don River at Bowen Pump Station peaked at 2.65 m around 11:00 am Wednesday, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 1.85 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Don River at Bowen Pump Station may exceed the minor flood level (2.50 m) Friday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.

Minor Flood Warning For The Cape River

MINOR FLOODING TO CONTINUE AT TAEMAS
Moderate to heavy rainfall during last few days has caused river level rises along the Cape River with minor flooding occurring at Taemas.
Further showers and thunderstorms are forecast across the catchment over the next few days, which may cause additional river level rises. The situation is being monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch for parts of Northern Queensland and the Cape York Peninsula is current.

Cape River to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Minor flooding is occurring at Taemas.
The Cape River at Taemas peaked at 6.76 m around 8:00 am Wednesday, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 6.61 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Cape River at Taemas is expected to remain above the minor flood level (5.00 m) for the remainder of Thursday and into Friday.
