HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Ipswich, Logan, Brisbane City and Moreton Bay
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 2:00 pm, severe thunderstorms likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding were detected near Greenbank and Wacol. These thunderstorms are moving towards the north. They are forecast to affect Bundamba Lagoon, Redbank Plains and Upper Brookfield by 2:30 pm and Enoggera, Highvale and Samford by 3:00 pm.
Cancellation for the following areas:
Gold Coast,Scenic Rim,Redland

Emergency services advise people to:
* Park your car undercover away from trees.
* Close doors and windows.
* Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
* Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
* Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.
* Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are dangerous.
* Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
* Go inside a strong building now. Stay inside until the storm has passed.
A more general severe thunderstorm warning is also current for parts of the Southeast Coast district.
Other warnings may be current.

The next warning is due to be issued by 3:05 pm.

Heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms are developing on a southeasterly change about the far southeast this afternoon.
HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Southeast Coast
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Brisbane, Caboolture, Ipswich, Cleveland, Lowood and Redcliffe.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Darling Downs and Granite Belt district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.

MINOR FLOODING LIKELY WITH THE HIGH TIDE OVERNIGHT THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY AT TEWANTIN
Moderate to heavy rainfall over the last few days has caused river level rises across the Noosa catchment. The Noosa River at Tewantin fell below the minor flood level during Thursday morning, however the river level may reach around the minor flood level overnight Thursday into Friday with the high tide.

The Noosa River at Tewantin is likely to reach around the minor flood level overnight Thursday into Friday.
The Noosa River at Tewantin is currently at 0.87 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
With small renewed rises with the high tide, the Noosa River at Tewantin is likely to reach around the minor flood level (1.00 m) overnight Thursday into Friday.

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
