for Heavy Rainfall
for parts of Wide Bay and Burnett and Darling Downs and Granite Belt Forecast Districts.

Severe thunderstorms persist across the central Darling Downs.
Weather Situation
An inland trough is combining with moist and unstable conditions to produce severe thunderstorms.
Warnings for Friday 15 November
HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Wide Bay and Burnett and Darling Downs and Granite Belt
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Dalby, Millmerran, Chinchilla and Tara.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Central Highlands and Coalfields and Capricornia districts and the warning for these districts is CANCELLED.
93 MM WAS RECORDED AT RIPPLES DOWN (SW OF MOONIE) IN 1 HOUR TO 8:30 PM
100 km/h wind gust was recorded at Roma at 5:44 pm
3 to 4 cm hailstones were recorded at Gympie earlier this afternoon
Cancellation for the following areas:
Capricornia,Central Highlands and Coalfields
Emergency services advise people to:
* Park your car undercover away from trees.
* Close doors and windows.
* Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
* Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
* Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.
* Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are dangerous.
* Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
* Go inside a strong building now. Stay inside until the storm has passed.
The next warning is due to be issued by 2:15 am.
