MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT JAMBIN AND BARALABA TUESDAY MORNING
MODERATE FLOODING LIKELY AT YATTON AND POSSIBLE AT TAROOM, MOURA AND THEODORE WEIR DURING TUESDAY
Moderate to locally intense rainfall has been observed across parts of the Fitzroy River catchment over the last few days. This has resulted in rapid river and creek level rises particularly across parts of the Dawson, Comet and Nogoa River catchments.
Major flooding is possible along the Callide Creek, minor to major flooding is possible along the Dawson River, moderate flooding is likely along the Isaac River, and elevated river levels are occurring or expected across the Nogoa and Comet River catchments.
A Flood Watch is current for most of Queensland.
Dawson River to Theodore:
Moderate flooding is occurring at Windamere and Chilgerrie.
The Dawson River at Taroom is currently at 4.26 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Dawson River at Taroom is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.50 m) early Tuesday morning. The river may exceed the moderate flood level (6.00 m) Tuesday afternoon. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.
The Dawson River at Theodore Weir is currently at 9.86 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Dawson River at Theodore Weir may exceed the moderate flood level (11.00 m) Tuesday morning. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.
Dawson River downstream of Theodore:
Major flooding is occurring at Redcliffe and moderate flooding is occurring at Karamea and Becker's.
No observations are currently available for the Dawson River at Moura. Based on the nearby automatic gauge the river level is estimated to be around the minor flood level (6.00 m) and rising.
The Dawson River at Moura may exceed the moderate flood level (11.00 m) overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.
No observations are currently available for the Dawson River at Baralaba. However, based on the nearby gauge the river level at Baralaba is expected to be above the major flood level (9.00 m) and rising.
The Dawson River at Baralaba may reach around 12.00 m overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, with major flooding. Further rises are likely later in the week as upstream flows from the upper Dawson River arrive.
Don and Dee Rivers:
Major flooding is possible at Jambin.

Recent heavy rainfall has caused river level rises across the upper Balonne River catchment. Moderate flooding is possible along Bungil Creek at Roma overnight Monday into Tuesday. Moderate to major flooding is possible along the Balonne River at Warkon and Surat from Tuesday onwards. Significant river level rises and flooding are also occurring along Dogwood Creek.
Further rainfall is forecast during the remainder of Monday but is expected to ease into Tuesday. The situation is being monitored closely, and this warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for much of Queensland.

Significant river level rises are occurring along Dogwood Creek, with minor to major flooding rising at Miles, Gilweir and Pine Hill Crossing.
Balonne River to Surat:
Moderate to major flooding is possible along the Balonne River.
No observations are currently available for the Balonne River at Warkon. The river level is estimated to be below the minor flood level and rising.
The Balonne River at Warkon may exceed the minor flood level (7.00 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday, then the moderate flood level (8.00 m) during Tuesday, then the major flood level (9.00 m) overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Peak forecasts will be provided as upstream peaks are observed.

Minor flooding is possible at Augathella from Monday afternoon as flood water approaches from upstream, with major flooding possible on Wednesday.

Major flooding is occurring along the Warrego River at Lochinvar, possible at Augathella.

Multiple minor flood peaks are moving through the Paroo River.
At Willara Crossing a minor flood peak was observed early Saturday morning. This flood peak is now moving downstream and will reach Wanaaring around Thursday.
Another flood peak currently upstream of Hungerford is likely to arrive at Willara towards the end of the week.
A Minor Flood Warning is current for the Paroo River in Queensland.
Paroo River (NSW):
Minor flooding is occurring along the Paroo River downstream of Hungerford.
The Paroo River at Willara Crossing peaked at 1.51 m around 09:30 am Saturday 7 March, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 1.21 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Paroo River at Willara Crossing is likely to remain above the minor flood level for the next few days. Further rises are likely as upstream flows arrive towards the end of the week.
The Paroo River at Wanaaring is currently at 2.30 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
Renewed river level rises are forecast midweek along the Paroo River at Wanaaring. River levels may peak near the minor flood level (2.40 m) during Thursday 12 March.

NEAR MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WINDORAH AND JUNDAH
MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT STONEHENGE AND POSSIBLE AT CAMOOLA PARK
A major flood peak along the Thomson River is passing through Jundah. Upstream at Camoola Park, Longreach and Stonehenge river levels are falling slowly. Along the Barcoo River, flooding is easing with the main peak now downstream of Retreat.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast for upper parts of the Thomson and Barcoo Rivers during Sunday and into Monday. Renewed moderate flooding possible at Camoola Park and minor flooding possible at Blackall, Jericho and Barcaldine.
Along the Cooper Creek, renewed near major flooding is occurring at Windorah (Main Channel). Further rises are likely as upstream flows arrive from the Thomson and Barcoo Rivers, with a flood peak forecast to reach Windorah early next week.
Peak forecasts will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.
