MODERATE FLOODING CONTINUING AT BEDOURIE AND GLENGYLE
The flood peak along Eyre Creek is approaching Bedourie. Downstream at Glengyle, moderate flooding is occurring as floodwaters continue arriving.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible in the catchment for the next few days, however, no significant rainfall and no impact on current river levels are expected.

Eyre Creek:
Moderate flooding is occurring along Eyre Creek. Minor flooding is occurring along Kings Creek at Cluny.
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie is currently at 4.22 m and rising slowly, with moderate flooding.
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) during this week.

The Eyre Creek at Glengyle was 3.10 m at Monday 02 February, with moderate flooding.
The Eyre Creek at Glengyle is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (3.00 m) during this week into the next week. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

Minor Flood Warning For The Thomson River And Cooper Creek And Final Flood Warning For The Barcoo River

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT STONEHENGE, JUNDAH AND ESTIMATED AT WINDORAH
The main flood peak is now expected to be along the Cooper Creek downstream of Windorah, where minor flooding is estimated to be occurring.
Further upstream along the Thomson River, a second flood peak is around Stonehenge where minor flooding is expected to be occurring. As these floodwaters continue to move downstream, renewed rises are occurring at Jundah and likely at downstream locations from Thursday.
Along the Barcoo River minor flooding has eased.

Thomson River:
Minor flooding is occurring with renewed rises along the Thomson River at Bogewong, Stonehenge and Jundah.
No river level observations are available along the Thomson River at Stonehenge. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level at Stonehenge is estimated to be around 2.2 m, above the minor flood level (2.0 m) and steady. The Thomson River at Stonehenge is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) over the next few days.

The Thomson River at Jundah is currently at 2.64 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Jundah is likely to peak near 3.00 m during Friday 06 February, with minor flooding.

Barcoo River downstream of Isisford:
Minor flooding has eased along the Barcoo River at Retreat.
The Barcoo River at Retreat peaked at 2.95 m around 11:30 pm Thursday 29 January, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 1.89 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Barcoo River at Retreat is expected to stay below the minor flood level (2.14 m).

Cooper Creek:
Minor flooding is expected to be occurring along Cooper Creek.
No observations are currently available for the Cooper Creek at Windorah. Based on upstream gauges, it is estimated that the creek level is above the minor flood level and steady.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah is expected to remain above the minor flood level (3.00 m) for the next few days.

MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT BIRDSVILLE OVER THE WEEKEND
River levels remain elevated along the Diamantina River, where the main flood peak is downstream of Monkira and slowly approaching Birdsville. Minor flooding is likely to develop at Birdsville over the weekend.
River levels at Diamantina Lakes are above the minor flood level and the causeway.

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
The Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes has fallen below the moderate flood level of 4.00 m and continues falling, whilst remaining above the minor flood level and the level of the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway (2.10 m).
Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
Minor flooding is easing at Monkira. River level rises are occurring along the lower Diamantina River downstream of Monkira.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station is currently at 1.80 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) over the weekend. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.
