Minor Flood Warning For The North Esk River

RENEWED MINOR FLOODING LIKELY FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON ALONG THE NORTH ESK AND POSSIBLE ALONG ST PATRICKS RIVER
River levels are steady throughout the catchment and on Thursday afternoon remain below the minor flood level.
In the 24 hours to 1:00 pm Thursday 10-30 mm rainfall has been recorded.
Rainfall totals of up to 10-20 mm are forecast for remainder of Thursday, with further renewed river level rises expected.
Strong and dangerous flows may be a hazard over the next few days.
St Patricks River:
Minor flooding may occur along the St Patricks River.
The St Patricks River at Nunamara Offtake is currently at 1.00 metres and rising.
The St Patricks River at Nunamara Offtake may reach the minor flood level (1.50 m) Thursday evening.
Upper North Esk River:
River levels remain elevated in the Upper North Esk River during Thursday.
Lower North Esk River around Corra Linn:
Minor flooding is likely along the Lower North Esk River around Corra Linn.
The North Esk River at Corra Linn is currently at 2.33 metres and steady.
The North Esk River at Corra Linn is likely to reach the minor flood level (2.70 m) Thursday afternoon.
