MODERATE FLOODING LIKELY AT ROSS OVERNIGHT SUNDAY INTO MONDAY
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT BELOW LAKE LEAKE AND LIKELY TO EXTEND TO MORNINGSIDE DURING MONDAY
Moderate flooding is occurring in the upper Macquarie River at Mt Morriston and is likely to extend downstream to Ross overnight Sunday into Monday. Minor flooding is occurring along the Elizabeth River below Lake Leake and is likely to develop along the Macquarie River at Morningside during Monday.
In the 24 hours to 7:00 pm Sunday, rainfall totals of 30-60 mm have been recorded in the Macquarie River catchment with an isolated total of 100 mm in the upper Macquarie River catchment around Tooms Lake.
Rainfall totals of 5-10 mm are forecast for the Macquarie River catchment overnight Sunday into Monday.
Strong and dangerous flows may be a hazard over the next few days.
Macquarie River above Mt Morriston:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Macquarie River above Mt Morriston.
The Macquarie River at Mount Morriston peaked at 2.85 metres around 04:00 pm Sunday 14 August and is currently at 2.73 metres and falling, with moderate flooding.
The Macquarie River at Mount Morriston is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (2.00 m) overnight Sunday into Monday.
Macquarie River - Mt Morriston to Elizabeth River:
Moderate flooding is likely along the Macquarie River - Mt Morriston to Elizabeth River.
The Macquarie River at Ross is currently at 1.20 metres and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Macquarie River at Ross is expected to exceed the minor flood level (2.00 m) Sunday evening. The river level is likely to reach the moderate flood level (2.50 m) overnight Sunday into Monday and may peak near 3.00 metres Monday morning, with moderate flooding.
Minor flooding is occurring along the Elizabeth River.
There are no available observations for Lake Leake, however Lake Leake is likely to be spilling.
The Elizabeth River below Lake Leake is currently at 0.98 metres and rising, with minor flooding.
The Elizabeth River below Lake Leake is expected to remain above the minor flood level (0.8 m) overnight Sunday and into Monday.
River rises are occurring along the Isis River.

Minor flooding is likely along the Macquarie River - Elizabeth River to Lake River.
The Macquarie River at Morningside is currently at 2.48 metres and rising.
The Macquarie River at Morningside is likely to reach the minor flood level (3.50 m) during Monday.
