FLOODING IS EASING ON BUNYIP RIVER AT CORA LYNN
The Bunyip River catchment has recorded rainfall averaging about 1 mm since 09:00 AM Sunday 09 November 2025. The Western Port catchment has recorded rainfall averaging about 1 mm for the same period. Rainfall totals of 3-10 mm is forecast for the catchment Monday 10 November 2025.
Water levels of the Bunyip River at various locations are now falling after earlier rises in response to the rain over the weekend.
Tarago River:
The level of Tarago Reservoir is currently at 156.95 metres, above the spillway level of 157.92 metres, and steady.
Bunyip River to Iona:
The level of the Bunyip River at Iona is currently at 1.49 metres, below the Minor Flood Level, and falling. It peaked below the Minor Flood Level (2.10 metres) overnight.
Bunyip River downstream of Iona:
The level of the Bunyip River at Cora Lynn is currently at 2.91 metres, below the Minor Flood Level 3.10 metres, and falling. It peaked just below the Minor Flood Level (3.10 metres) this overnight.
The ford at Cora Lynn will be reopened to traffic this morning.
