for Greater Hunter, Greater Sydney Region and North Western fire weather districts

Weather Situation
Fresh and gusty northwesterly winds combined with hot and dry conditions are resulting in elevated fire dangers on Friday. Isolated thunderstorms are possible through the day, most likely in the afternoon, ahead of a cool and gusty southwesterly wind change moving across the south and west, reaching the central areas later, and crossing the southern and central coast as a fresh and gusty southerly change.
