Minor Flood Warning For The Mulgrave River And Flood Warning For The Russell River

MINOR FLOODING EASING AT GORDONVALE
 FLOODING IS OCCURRING ALONG THE RUSSELL RIVER
 Over the last few days, rainfall totals up to 940 mm have been recorded in the Mulgrave-Russell catchment which has caused river level rises and flooding.
 Further significant rainfall is forecast from Saturday which may cause renewed or further flooding depending on the location of the heaviest falls. The situation is being closely monitored and warnings will be updated as required.
 A Flood Watch is current for parts of the North Tropical Coast.

Mulgrave River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Mulgrave River.
The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge is currently at 4.65 metres and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge is likely to remain below the minor flood level (5.00 m) during Thursday.

The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale is currently at 12.25 metres and falling, above the minor flood level.
The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale may fall below the minor flood level (12.00 m) early Thursday afternoon.

Russell River:
River levels are elevated and minor flooding is occurring along the Russell River at Bucklands and Clyde Rd.
