    Valid for Thursday 30 October 2025 to Sunday 02 November 2025
    
    Warning for the following areas:
    Peninsula, Gulf Country and North Tropical Coast and Tablelands
    
    Safety Advice:
     Severe heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with medical conditions and people who are unwell.
     Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre.
     Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
     If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.
    
    Maximum temperatures in the low thirties to low forties, deceasing to high twenties to mid thirties over the North Tropical coasts and Tablelands district. Overnight minimum temperatures in the high teens to mid twenties. 
    
    Severe heatwave conditions are expected to continue throughout Cape York Peninsula over the coming days and expand to other parts of northern Queensland over the weekend.  Locations likely to be impacted include Aurukun, Coen, Kowanyama and Weipa.
    
    The next heatwave warning will be issued by 3:00pm EST on Friday 31 October 2025
