Heatwave Warning

Valid for Friday 31 January 2025 to Monday 03 February 2025

Warning for the following areas:
Upper South East, Lower South East, Riverland, Murraylands, Mid North, Lower Eyre Peninsula, North West Pastoral and Mount Lofty Ranges

Safety Advice::
 Severe heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with medical conditions and people who are unwell.
 Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre.
 Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
 If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.

Maximum temperatures in high twenties in the far southeast grading to high thirties in the northwest on Friday, increasing to high thirties to mid forties during the weekend and early next week. 

Minimum temperature in low teens in the far southeast grading to low twenties in the northwest on early Saturday morning, increasing to mid to high teens in the southeast grading to mid to high twenties in the north during the weekend and early next week.  

Severe heatwave conditions are expected to develop in the western and southern parts of SA during the weekend and persist into early next week, before easing from mid next week.   Locations likely to be impacted include Clare, Jamestown, Mount Gambier, Mount Barker, Murray Bridge, Narracoorte, Renmark and the Barossa Valley.

The next heatwave warning will be issued by 3:00pm CDT on Saturday 01 February 2025
