Minor Flood Warning For The Katherine River

RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT NITMILUK CENTRE FROM OVERNIGHT SUNDAY
River levels have fallen below the minor flood level along the Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre. However with forecast rainfall, renewed minor flooding is possible from overnight Sunday into Monday.
Downstream, river levels along the Katherine River at Katherine Bridge are expected to remain below the minor flood level (16.00 m).
A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Top End, which includes the Katherine River.

Katherine River Gorge Road:
Renewed minor flooding is possible along the Katherine River at Nitmiluk.
The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre is currently at 2.56 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre may reach around the minor flood level (3.00 m) overnight Sunday into Monday. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
