Recent rainfall across the Paroo catchment has resulted in river level rises. The main flood peak is around Eulo, where minor flooding is estimated to be occurring. Downstream at Hungerford, minor flooding is occurring and is likely to continue for the next few days. Further rises at Hungerford are possible as the main flood peak arrives.
Paroo River to Eulo:
Minor flooding is occurring at Humeburn, and estimated at Eulo.
No observations are currently available for the Paroo River at Eulo, but the river level is estimated to be above the minor flood level.
The Paroo River at Eulo may peak near 2.90 m overnight Thursday into Friday, with minor flooding.
Paroo River downstream of Eulo:
Minor flooding is occurring at Hungerford.
The Paroo River at Hungerford is currently at 1.05 m and steady, with minor flooding.

MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT WINTON
BELOW MINOR PEAK OBSERVED AT BIRDSVILLE WITH RENEWED RISES POSSIBLE FROM NEXT WEEK
Heavy rainfall has been observed across the eastern part of the Western River catchment during the weekend which has led to rapid river level rises along the upper reaches of the Western River and its tributaries. At Winton, moderate flooding is now easing slowly.
Along the Diamantina River, river levels are rising above the moderate flood level at Diamantina Lakes. A below minor flood peak is passing Birdsville. However, renewed river level rises are possible from next week as upstream flood waters arrive.
Showers and storms are possible over parts of the catchment for the next few days which may cause further river level rises in some areas. This warning will be updated as required.
Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
The Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes is currently at 4.13 m and rising, above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) and above the level of the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway (2.10 m).
Western River:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Western River at Winton.
The Western River at Winton is currently at 2.35 m and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Western River at Winton is expected to remain above the moderate flood level (2.00 m) for the remainder of Thursday and into Friday.
Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
Minor flooding is easing at Roseberth. Renewed rises are possible as the flood waters arrive from upstream.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station peaked near 3.75 m during Monday, below the minor flood level. The river is currently at 3.55 m and steady.
Renewed river level rises are possible from next week as the flood waters arrive from upstream.

MAJOR FLOOD PEAK OBSERVED AT QUILPIE WEDNESDAY EVENING
MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT THARGOMINDAH FROM SATURDAY
Recent localised heavy rainfall over parts of the upper Bulloo River catchment caused river level rises and flooding. As the floodwaters flowed downstream, a major flood peak was recorded at Quilpie during Wednesday evening, where the river level is now slowly easing. Further downstream at Thargomindah, minor flooding is possible from Friday, and moderate flooding is possible from Saturday as upstream flows arrive.
Bulloo River to Quilpie:
Moderate flooding is slowly easing along the Bulloo River at Quilpie.
The Bulloo River at Quilpie peaked at 5.14 m around 7:45 pm Wednesday, with major flooding. The river is currently at 4.99 m and falling, above the moderate flood level (4.00 m).
The Bulloo River at Quilpie is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) into Friday.
Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie:
Moderate flooding is possible along the Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie.
No observations are currently available for the Bulloo River at Thargomindah. Based on upstream gauges, it is estimated that the river level at Thargomindah is below the minor flood level and rising.
The Bulloo River at Thargomindah may exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) from Friday. The river may exceed the moderate flood level (4.50 m) from Saturday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

The flood peak along the Eyre Creek has passed through Glengyle, where minor flooding is occurring.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast in the catchment for the next few days, with isolated moderate to heavy rainfall possible, however this is not expected to have a significant impact on current river and creek levels.
Georgina River to Marion Downs:
River levels remain elevated along the Georgina River to Marion Downs; however, flooding is no longer expected at Marion Downs.
No recent observations are available for the Georgina River at Marion Downs, however, based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level at Marion Downs is expected to be below the minor flood level (3.00 m).
The Georgina River at Marion Downs is expected to remain below the minor flood level.
Eyre Creek:
Minor flooding is estimated to be occurring along the Eyre Creek around Glengyle. Minor flooding is estimated to be continuing along King Creek at Cluny.

Moderate flooding is easing along the Barcoo River at Retreat, following a peak early Tuesday morning. Further downstream along the Cooper Creek at Windorah (Main Channel), minor flooding is occurring, with moderate flooding possible overnight Wednesday into Thursday as upstream flows arrive.
In the upper Barcoo River, minor flooding is easing following a peak at Blackall Tuesday morning. Further downstream, river levels are rising, with minor flooding occurring at Isisford. Additional river level rises are likely over the coming days as upstream flows arrive.
Along the Thomson River, minor flooding is occurring at Camoola Park. Further downstream, river levels have peaked above minor at Bogewong and below the minor flood level at Stonehenge. These downstream flows may lead to minor flooding at Jundah from Thursday. Renewed rises are likely in the coming days as upstream flows from Camoola Park continue to arrive.
Rainfall and showers are possible over parts of the catchment over the next few days. This warning will be updated as required.

Minor flooding is occurring along the Thomson River at Camoola Park, with minor flooding possible at Jundah.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park is currently around 2.80 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park may remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) for the next few days.
The Thomson River at Jundah is currently at 1.96 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Thomson River at Jundah may reach the minor flood level (2.50 m) from Thursday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.
Barcoo River to Isisford:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Barcoo River upstream of Isisford.
