Severe storms have eased.

cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning - southeast queensland for the following areas:
Somerset, Lockyer Valley and Moreton Bay
Severe thunderstorms are no longer affecting the Southeast Queensland area (east of Dalby from Rainbow Beach to Stanthorpe). This warning is now cancelled.
Cancellation for the following areas:
Queensland Anonymous Locale 1

Emergency services advise people to:
* Never drive, walk, play or ride through floodwater. It is dangerous.
* Stay away from storm water drains.
* Stay away from fallen powerlines.
* Drive slowly and never drive through floodwaters. If the road is flooded or damaged, go another way.
* For storm help, call the SES on 132 500 or download the free SES Assistance QLD app.
Separate Flood Watches and/or Warnings are current at the time of issue.

No further warnings will be issued for this event.

Minor Flood Warning For Baffle Creek And Final Flood Warning For The Kolan River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT ESSENDEAN BRIDGE OVERNIGHT FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY
FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT BUCCA WEIR
Heavy rainfall has been observed across the Kolan River and Baffle Creek catchments over the last few days which resulted in river and creek level rises. River levels along the Kolan River are falling, where Bucca Weir peaked below the minor flood level Thursday afternoon. Minor flooding is possible along Baffle Creek at Essendean Bridge from overnight Friday into Saturday as upstream flows arrive.

Kolan River:
Flooding is no longer expected along the Kolan River at Bucca Weir.
The Kolan River at Bucca Weir is currently at 16.47 m AHD and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Kolan River at Bucca Weir is likely to remain below the minor flood level (17.50 m AHD).

Baffle Creek:
Minor flooding is possible along the Baffle Creek at Essendean Bridge.
The Baffle Creek at Essendean Bridge is currently at 3.22 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Baffle Creek at Essendean Bridge may reach around the minor flood level (5.00 m) overnight Friday into Saturday as upstream flows arrive.

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.
