MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE ON THE HIGH TIDE AT TEMPE BRIDGE THURSDAY EVENING
High tides may cause minor flooding along the Cooks River at Tempe Bridge during Thursday evening.
Cooks River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Cooks River at Tempe Bridge.
The Cooks River at Tempe Bridge peaked near 1.38 metres during Wednesday evening, with minor flooding. The river level is currently at 0.32 metres and falling with the tide, below the minor flood level.
The Cooks River at Tempe Bridge may reach the minor flood level (1.30 m) on the high tide during Thursday evening.
Flood Safety Advice:
In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500.
* Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
* Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
* Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
* Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}
