Severe Weather Warning
for Damaging Winds
for parts of Adelaide Metropolitan and Mount Lofty Ranges districts.

Damaging wind gusts possible tonight and early tomorrow morning.
Weather Situation
Enhanced east to southeasterly Gully Winds in the lee of the Mount Lofty Ranges are possible tonight and early tomorrow morning as a high pressure ridge to the south and a trough in the north help increase the pressure gradient over the Adelaide Hills.
DAMAGING WINDS for the following areas:
Adelaide Metropolitan and Mount Lofty Ranges
East to southeasterly winds with DAMAGING WIND GUSTS in excess of 90 km/h are possible over parts of the Mount Lofty Ranges and Adelaide Metro from this evening. Winds are expected to ease late Wednesday morning.
Winds may increase again on Wednesday evening and into Thursday morning.
Locations which may be affected include the western slopes of the Mount Lofty Ranges, the foothills, and eastern and southern suburbs of Adelaide.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
The next Severe Weather Warning will be issued by 11:00 pm ACDT Tuesday.
