    Valid for Friday 31 January 2025 to Monday 03 February 2025
    
    Warning for the following areas:
    Furneaux Islands, North East, East Coast, Central North, Midlands, South East, Upper Derwent Valley, Central Plateau, Western and North West Coast
    
    Safety Advice::
     Severe heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with medical conditions and people who are unwell.
     Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre.
     Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
     If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.
    
    Maximum temperatures in the mid to high twenties, increasing to the high twenties to mid thirties during the weekend and early next week, with minimum temperatures in the low to mid teens. 
    
    Severe heatwave conditions are expected to extend more broadly across the State from the weekend and persist into early next week.  Locations likely to be impacted include Hobart, Brighton, Bothwell, Launceston, New Norfolk, Oatlands, Ouse, Richmond, St Helens, Sorell and Scottsdale.
    
    The next heatwave warning will be issued by 3:00pm EDT on Saturday 01 February 2025
