    Warning for the following areas:
    Pilbara
    Cancellation for the following areas:
    Central West, Central Wheat Belt, Kimberley, Gascoyne and Lower West
    
    Safety Advice::
     Severe heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with medical conditions and people who are unwell.
     Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre.
     Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
     If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.
    
    Maximum temperatures in the low to mid forties over north western parts of the state with overnight minimum temperatures in the mid to high twenties. 
    
    Extreme to severe heatwave conditions over north western parts of WA are expected to ease through the week.    
    
    Severe heatwave conditions have eased in the SWLD and the Kimberley districts however low intensity heatwave conditions are expected to persist. 
     Locations likely to be impacted include Port Hedland.
    
    The next heatwave warning will be issued by 2:00pm WST on Wednesday 25 December 2024
