    Valid for Sunday 18 January 2026 to Wednesday 21 January 2026
    
    Warning for the following areas:
    Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and North Interior
    Warning for the following areas:
    South Interior, Central West and Lower West
    
    Safety Advice:
     Extreme heatwaves can be dangerous for everyone.
     Severe heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with medical conditions and people who are unwell.
     Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre.
     Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
     If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.
    
    Maximum temperatures will range from the high thirties to the mid forties and will reach the high forties through parts of the Gascoyne and Pilbara. Overnight minimum temperatures will range from the low twenties to the low thirties.  
    
    Severe to extreme heatwave conditions are expected to intensify early this week and begin to extend down the west coast before easing later this week.   Locations likely to be impacted include Carnarvon, Exmouth, Gingin, Kalbarri, Morawa, Marble Bar, Newman, Paraburdoo, Port Hedland and Yanchep.
    
    The next heatwave warning will be issued by 2:00pm WST on Monday 19 January 2026
