Major Flood Warning For The Daly River

PROLONGED MAJOR FLOODING EXPECTED TO CONTINUE AT DALY POLICE STATION
Significant major flooding is occurring along the Daly River at the Daly River Police Station, where river levels peaked at 16.42 m during Sunday morning which was above the 1998 flood level (16.25 m). The river level is slowly falling but is expected to remain above the major flood level for the remainder of the week.
Further rainfall is forecast over catchment in the next few days. Renewed river rises are likely with forecast rain from Sunday.

Lower Daly River:
Major flooding is continuing along the Daly River at Daly Police Station.
The Daly River at Daly River Police Station is currently at 15.51 m and falling slowly, with major flooding.
The Daly River at Daly River Police Station is expected to remain above the major flood level (14.00 m) for the remainder of the week.

Minor Flood Warning For The Waterhouse River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE FROM SATURDAY AT BESWICK BRIDGE
River levels along the Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge are expected to remain below flood levels through to at least Saturday morning. Forecast rain from late Saturday may cause rapid river rises, with the potential for significant flooding from Sunday.
The situation will be closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.

Waterhouse River:
Rapid river rises may develop along the Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge from Saturday with forecast rainfall.
The Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge is currently at 6.26 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge may exceed the minor flood level (7.70 m) overnight Saturday into Sunday. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
