MAJOR FLOODING PEAKED AT MARION DOWNS, LIKELY TO CONTINUE NEXT FEW DAYS
MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BEDOURIE FROM EARLY THIS WEEK
A major flood peak has occurred at Marion Downs along the Georgina River and is now moving downstream. As this peak travels downstream, moderate flooding may develop along Eyre Creek at Bedourie from early this week.
Further downstream at Glengyle, moderate flooding is likely to develop around the end of this week.

Georgina River to Marion Downs:
Major flooding is occurring along the Georgina River at Marion Downs.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs peaked at 5.40 m during Saturday morning, with major flooding. The river is currently at 5.30 m and steady, with major flooding.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs is likely to remain above the major flood level (5.00 m) for the next few days.

Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs:
Elevated river levels are expected to be occurring along the Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs, with further rises expected for the next few days.
Eyre Creek:
Moderate flooding is possible along Eyre Creek.
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie is currently at 3.84 m and rising, with minor flooding (3.50 m).
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie may exceed the moderate flood level (4.00 m) during Tuesday 20 January. The creek may peak above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) around Thursday 22 January.

As of Sunday 09:00 am AEST, Eyre Creek at Glengyle was at 2.60 m and rising slowly, with minor flooding (2.00 m).
The Eyre Creek at Glengyle is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (3.00 m) around the end of this week . Forecasts will be refined when upstream peaks are observed.

MINOR FLOODING HAS EASED AT RICHMOND FOLLOWING A MODERATE FLOOD PEAK
MAJOR FLOODING EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FALLING SLOWLY AT WALKERS BEND
Moderate rainfall since Tuesday has caused renewed river level rises along the upper Flinders River. Minor flooding has eased along the Flinders River at Richmond, where river levels are falling following a moderate flood peak during Saturday.
Downstream along the lower Flinders River at Walkers Bend, major flooding is expected to continue falling slowly following a major flood peak earlier this month.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms are forecast over the next few days, but are not expected to contribute to any significant river level rises.

Flinders River to Richmond:
Minor flooding is no longer occurring at Richmond.
No current observations are available for the Flinders River at Richmond Post Office. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level is expected to be below the minor flood level (5.00 m) and falling following a moderate flood peak during Saturday.
The Flinders River at Richmond Post Office is expected to remain below the minor flood level (5.00 m).

Flinders River downstream of Richmond:
Major flooding is expected to be continuing along the Flinders River downstream of Richmond.
River level observations are unavailable for the Flinders River at Walkers Bend. The river level is expected to be above the major flood level (8.00 m) and falling slowly.
The Flinders River at Walkers Bend is expected to remain above the major flood level for the next few days.

MODERATE FLOODING AT WINTON EXPECTED TO FALL BELOW MODERATE FLOOD LEVEL DURING MONDAY
FLOODING CONTINUING AT DIAMANTINA LAKES
Widespread heavy rainfall late last week has caused river level rises and flooding across the Diamantina River catchment and its upper tributaries, including the Western River catchment. An earlier flood peak is continuing to move downstream along the Diamantina River.
The river level along the Western River at Winton is expected to fall below the moderate flood level during Monday. Further downstream, moderate flooding is occurring along the Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes. River levels remain above the causeway and are easing slowly as the flood peak continues to move downstream.

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
The Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes is at 5.39 m and falling slowly, above the level of the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway (2.10 m).
Western River:
Moderate flooding is continuing along the Western River at Winton.
The Western River at Winton is currently at 2.00 m and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Western River at Winton is expected to fall below the moderate flood level (2.00 m) during Monday.

Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
River level rises are occurring along the lower Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes. Moderate flooding is occurring at Monkira.

ELEVATED RIVER LEVELS AND FLOODING IS OCCURRING ALONG THE NICHOLSON AND GREGORY RIVERS
Moderate rainfall has been recorded across the Nicholson catchment over the last 24 hours where areas of flooding are occurring along the Gregory River.
No further significant rainfall is forecast across the catchment over the next few days, however river level rises may occur as floodwaters continue to move downstream. This situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as required.

Nicholson and Gregory Rivers:
Flooding and elevated river levels are occurring along the Nicholson and Gregory Rivers during Saturday and are likely to continue into Sunday.
