Weather Situation
Thunderstorm activity has weakened and become more isolated in the past hour. However, deep tropical moisture and instability remains in place over much of northern Queensland, and there is some potential for slow-moving shower and thunderstorm with a risk of localised heavy falls to redevelop later tonight.

* Never drive, walk, play or ride through floodwater. It is dangerous.
* Stay away from storm water drains.
* Stay away from fallen powerlines.
* Drive slowly and never drive through floodwaters. If the road is flooded or damaged, go another way.
