Final Flood Warning For The Mulgrave And Russell Rivers

MINOR FLOODING EASED AT PEETS BRIDGE AND NO LONGER EXPECTED AT GORDONVALE
Moderate to heavy rainfall has been recorded overnight Saturday into Sunday, which led to river level rises being observed along the Mulgrave and Russell Rivers.
Minor flooding is no longer occurring at Peets Bridge following a minor flood peak early Sunday morning. Minor flooding is no longer expected at Gordonvale, with a below minor flood peak observed early Sunday morning.
Further showers are forecast during Sunday which may produce renewed river level rises below the minor flood level.

Mulgrave River:
Minor flooding eased along the Mulgrave River.
The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge peaked at 5.49 m around 02:00 am Sunday 22 March, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 3.99 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge is likely to remain below the minor flood level (5.00 m).

The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale is currently at 10.75 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale is expected to remain below the minor flood level (12.00 m).

Russell River:
River levels are falling along the Russell River.

Minor Flood Warning For The Daintree River And Flood Warning For The Mossman River

MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT DAINTREE VILLAGE
Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed across the Daintree River catchment since Wednesday evening, resulting in river and creek level rises. River levels are also elevated along the Mossman River at Mossman.
Further rainfall is possible during the remainder of Sunday. Renewed rises are occurring along the Daintree and Mossman Rivers with minor flooding likely at Daintree Village from late Sunday morning.
This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for the Cape York Peninsula and parts of the North Tropical Coast.

Daintree River:
Minor flooding is likely along the Daintree River.
The Daintree River at Daintree Village is currently at 3.75 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Daintree River at Daintree Village is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) late Sunday morning. Further river level rises are possible with forecast rainfall.

Mossman River:
River levels are elevated along the Mossman River.

MODERATE FLOODING EXPECTED AT EURAMO OVERNIGHT SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY
Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed across the Tully River Catchment during Friday and Saturday and moderate flooding is expected at Euramo. Further river levels are possible with forecast rainfall.
The situation is monitored and the warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Cape York Peninsula and North Tropical Coast.

Tully River:
Moderate flooding is expected along the Tully River.
The Tully River at Euramo is currently at 7.90 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Tully River at Euramo is expected to exceed the moderate flood level (8.00 m) overnight Saturday into Sunday. The river may reach around 8.30 m Sunday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.

Final Flood Warning For The Suttor River

NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECTED ALONG SUTTOR RIVER AT ST ANNS
River levels fell below the minor flood level along the Suttor River at St Anns during Thursday afternoon following a minor flood peak earlier in the day.
No significant rainfall is forecast for the catchment over the next few days.

Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam:
No further flooding is expected along the Suttor River at St Anns.
The Suttor River at St Anns peaked at 4.00 m around 09:00 am Thursday, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 3.92 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Suttor River at St Anns is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m).
