    MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT QUILPIE 
     MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT THARGOMINDAH FROM LATE THURSDAY
     Recent localised heavy rainfall over parts of the upper Bulloo River catchment has caused river level rises at Milroy. Downstream, major flooding is occurring at Quilpie, where the river level may reach around 5.40 metres Wednesday evening. Further downstream at Thargomindah, minor flooding is possible from late Thursday as upstream flows arrive.
    
    Bulloo River to Quilpie:
    Major flooding is occurring along the Bulloo River at Quilpie.
    The Bulloo River at Quilpie is currently at 5.04 m and rising, above the major flood level (5.00 m).
    The Bulloo River at Quilpie may reach around 5.40 m Wednesday evening, with major flooding. Further rises are likely with the arrival of upstream flow. 
    
    Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie:
    Minor flooding is possible along the Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie.
    No observations are currently available for the Bulloo River at Thargomindah. Based on upstream gauges, it is expected that the river level is below the minor flood level and steady.
    The Bulloo River at Thargomindah may reach the minor flood level (4.00 m) from late Thursday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive. 
    
    Flood Safety Advice:
    Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
     Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
     Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
