Major Flood Warning For The Lower Flinders River

WALKERS BEND STEADY AROUND A MAJOR FLOOD PEAK DURING FRIDAY
Flooding is continuing along the lower Flinders River as a result of moderate to heavy rainfall over the last few weeks.
Showers are forecast across lower parts of the Flinders River catchment over the next few days but at this stage significant widespread rainfall totals are not expected.
Flinders River downstream of Richmond:
Major flooding is continuing along the Flinders River downstream of Richmond.
The Flinders River at Walkers Bend is currently at 10.04 metres and steady around a peak, above the major flood level (8.00 m).
The river level is likely to begin easing slowly by the early part of the weekend, however it is likely to remain above the major flood level (8.00 m) for the next few days.
