Major Flood Warning For The Lower Flinders River

MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WALKERS BEND AND MAY CONTINUE INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK
The main flood peak along the lower Flinders River has now passed Walkers Bend, where major flooding is occurring. Major flooding is likely to continue over the next few days.
No significant rainfall totals are forecast in the Flinders River catchment over the next few days.
Flinders River downstream of Richmond:
Major flooding is occurring along the Flinders River downstream of Richmond.
The Flinders River at Walkers Bend peaked at 9.28 metres Friday and is currently at 8.96 metres and falling, above the major flood level (8.00 m).
The river level is likely to remain above the major flood level over the next few days.
